More and more men are starting to use SPA services. Gentlemen particularly enjoy all kinds of massages, but they also take advantage of hand and foot care, relaxing baths, and facial treatments.

The history of massage and bathing (baths) dates back to ancient times – and these activities were not exclusively for women back then. So why should SPA treatments now be reserved only for the fairer sex?

SPA for men – facial care

The facial skin of men differs biologically from that of women. It is thicker and, of course, hairier. However, these differences are not significant enough to require a completely different approach to care. It will certainly be more resistant to adverse external factors, but unfortunately, it is not indestructible. Therefore, even being a man, it is worth occasionally entrusting your face to an experienced beautician who will provide all the necessary nutrients to keep the skin healthy and restore its glow. And – attention, gentlemen! – this also means that men can use women's cosmetics, as they largely contain the same ingredients as creams labeled "for men".

Facial care within SPA for men will primarily help men who are overworked, with tired, dehydrated skin. The rejuvenating therapy is especially recommended for men whose skin is exposed to prolonged contact with air conditioning and radiation generated by computers. However, it is also worthwhile to take advantage of SPA for men when dealing with specific problems – such as discoloration, acne, or wrinkles. Regular SPA facial treatments are an excellent preventive measure and slow down the aging process of the skin.

SPA for men – massages (body and head)

Body massages are definitely the most frequently chosen SPA treatments for men. Men generally prefer treatments that not only relax but also actively affect the muscles of the body. It is certainly no surprise the range of benefits gained from massage, especially when muscles are tired. Massage improves blood circulation, which helps faster muscle regeneration, relaxation of all tensions, as well as oxygenation and nourishment of muscles. The most popular massages include classic massage and sports massage.

Sports massage is recommended after intense physical effort. This type of massage differs from classic massage mainly in intensity and the variety of techniques used by the masseur. It may also last up to twice as short as a classic massage – only 45 minutes. While the classic massage is performed on the entire body, especially the back, the sports massage focuses on specific muscles that were most intensively worked during training.

In addition to technically removing muscle tensions, massage also contributes to waking up (or maintaining) a good mood. Giving yourself over to massage reduces stress, which is quite abundant daily in today's world. Especially professionally active men in high positions are exposed to constant stress, which is debilitating for the entire body and partly responsible for many serious health problems. Massage sessions can help cope with chronic stress.

It is also worth trying a massage preceded by a back peeling and a hot thermal pack. This combination puts everyone in a state of deep relaxation and bliss.

SPA for men – hand and foot care

Again – men's skin differs from women's skin, so manicures and pedicures for men differ slightly from care treatments for women. Men's skin is thicker, rougher, nails are thicker, and hard cuticles are unfortunately most often extremely neglected. In addition, men's hands are often accustomed to performing tougher, more demanding tasks in less favorable conditions, so they require professional care and regeneration. Therefore, manicures within SPA for men are definitely a desirable treatment for gentlemen. This treatment proceeds similarly to manicures for women. It involves disinfection, cuticle removal, filing, polishing, and optionally applying a transparent emulsion that evens out the nail color and surface. Hand and foot treatments may also include peeling and massage of these body parts, with products applied to rough skin that soften, moisturize, and nourish the skin.

Manicure, and especially pedicure, may seem completely pointless to many men. However, it is worth realizing that women mostly highly appreciate men who take care of their appearance and health. In the common perception of the fairer sex, well-groomed nails add class to a man.
